DEFINICIÓN EN ESPAÑOL: Conjunto de información almacenada en un soporte informático. Puede contener información de diferentes tipos: textual, gráfica, vídeo,... Se nombra mediante un sistema que incluye dos partes: un nombre y una extensión de tres letras. Ambas partes están separadas por un punto. La extensión indica el tipo de información que contiene. Por ejemplo: documento.txt imagen.jpg
